Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!
Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!
Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.
So how’s it going?
Last day in Rotorua, going to do some runs at Skyline.
Drinking my super steeped jasmine tea, it kicks better than coffee.
I would live in Rotorua if i could, the biking here is the best in the country.
Yeah it’s beautiful down there, I can’t get over how gnarly the geothermal stuff is in the park, then there’s all the animals and critters at paradise valley springs… It’s just fantastic
Finally pulled the trigger on the big bad ending boss fight for Tears of the Kingdom after 200+ hours in the game. Was not disappointed. Game of the generation! 10/10
10/10 for sure! That boss fight is definitely one to remember! I think this game was my favourite rendition of Ganondorf in terms of design.
Coincidentally that was my plan for the evening too, however did not anticipate how much of a gauntlet the final approach would be. At least I’ve got a fast way back now so will resupply and try for it tomorrow evening.
Do you have the teleport medalion that can be dropped on the ground and fast travelled to? I popped one of those right at the very last bit before Ganon. Went away and did other stuff and came back super powered and stocked with stuff
Yeah I put one of those down, so just need to get some new / good weapons and restock on arrows and should be sweet to go
And it’s done, after 170 hours it’s finally finished.
Congratulations to you! The true saviour of Hyrule! Can we have a quick interview for the people at home? How do you feel on this momentus occasion?
this place is kind of dead lately…
I guess the big migration from reddit never happened.
I kind of like it. The NZ community is still a little small, but some of the other ones are active
That’s strange I feel like the opposite. I’ve got a good collection of subscribed communities now that feel alive and active.
Yes, there is the huge influx of memes from seemingly 15 years ago, BUT at least we’re active.
I meant new zealand communities.
Ah gotcha. I’m sure we will see more and more communities popping up just by the sheer number of connections federated sites offer.
Similar to what happened with Mastodon. You get waves of people jumping in, and with every wave the engagement grows.
The memes are definitely better on lemmy already, anyway.
Was going to go up north for a road trip but one of the kids has gotten sick and is running a mean fever. Going to the doctors instead.
I have had a gaggle of kids with fevers over the last week. Must be something going around.
I know there’s flu and RSV around at the moment, which could be related.
Same.
