I’ve always used FreeTax USA with good results. But I’ll be trying IRS direct file this year now that it’s available
2nd for freetaxusa. I’ve been using it for years now.

Yeah, from what I understand US tax software companies lobby to keep the tax code complex. I wonder if Canada sees the same pressure.
