Who do you think puts merchandise on the shelves in the first place?

Also, these locked cases may be stupid, but let’s not pretend that 30 other customers didn’t touch your undies back before they started using them either.

Not to mention they’re in a plastic bag, so they’re not “fondling” them. That’s a childish take there. “Omg they drank out of the same cup…. That’s an indirect kiss!”

Controversial opinion: society is better when we allow desperate people to procure basic things like underwear without having to pay for them. We shouldn’t encourage such procurement, but we shouldn’t be hindering it either.

    caveat: mostly

Remember kids, if you see someone shoplifting food/clothes/necessities, no you fucking didn’t.

Also just break this shit and make it look like an accident, I mean I have almost broken something similar on accident so it’s possible.

I think they may just not like the idea of a somewhat intimate garment requiring assistance.

Ah, now I see. It didn’t occur to me at all that shops would be afraid that people steal men’s underware or that having a cashier handle it (when properly packaged) would be an (emotional?) issue for the buyer. I guess those issues are somehow related?

I think it’s more the case that this is an unnecessary barrier to the process.

I don’t think the issue is that someone else has touched the pack of undies, it’s that you need to go through the palaver of having someone retrieve your undies for you.

Additionally, and I know it might be a radical departure from what the internet suggests, but not everyone wants to share their underwear choices with other folks.

And I know you might think “well the cashier would see it anyway”, but surely you see the difference between someone mechanically ringing up undies in a pile of shopping, and needing to have an actual conversation about what type of underwear you intend to buy with someone?

          That’s the issue.

I can only assume this is Walmart. Your problem is you’re shopping at Walmart.

We have deodorant in these because the local kids like to huff it. Are you people huffing clean jocks?
