ADL thrives in a politically polarised landscape where their interests intersect traditional conservatism/liberalism axis. If Pepe is divisive because of an international conspiracy then that’s a done deal already anyway - in this polarised society fascists took it as their heraldic emblem just to spite the libs. I never bought into the whole dogwhistle story about it, but I have found that I just don’t mesh well with people who use that meme a lot, so it’s kind of a litmus test when I see someone use it.

I feel as though Lemmy federate ought to be able to use multiple instances for its back-end operations. Relying on a single instance is somewhat at odds with the spirit of decentralization.

Piefed.social should decide if they want to add their instance to the Lemmy Federate. I’m not blocking anyone. In fact, there are already two Piefed instances registered to Lemmy Federate. But these instances are using generic ActivityPub client instead of specialized clients unlike Lemmy and Mbin instances.
I’m not against Piefed but I’m not gonna work for a Piefed specific code either for reasons you can imagine.
