Let’s fix that exclusionary headline by removing one word…“Politicians are not your friends”.
Is there a point to this legislation? Like what does it actually do.
wastes valuable time so they don’t have to use it passing something that might actually benefits people.
also brings back red scare because DSA and specifically mamdani are reminding people what politics should be about. can’t have that baby, let’s bring back McCarthyism!
Identifies people who need to be voted out
Vice signals. Still may want to call them to denounce it
Cool. Nice list of Wall St bootlickers to primary. EVERY LAST ONE.
Of course one is fucking Marie Gluesencamp-Perez. She’s basically a moderate Republican who runs as a Democrat because she lives in a purple district.
She is such a tool. So pleased with herself, too.
You know what, suddenly I don’t feel so mad about that picture of Hakeem with the sombrero and moustache anymore. Fuck him.
The guy has 100% always been a sellout.
Some say that’s the reason he got the job in the first place
The racism can be disparaged just like the loser.
Now do one for capitalism. Might be longer due to more examples.
Jefferson’s quote could be used to defend against higher taxes on the top brackets, and yet when we did have such taxes we saw high prosperity. So anything can be sold as bad, especially when you use a very broad definition and run with it.
A version of socialism is what provides common services and infrastructures that allows our society to exist. I doubt we want to denounce and get rid of basic needs of the public, paid for by taxes TAKEN from the public.
Is this is the second time or is this a repost from when this happened after last mid-term elections ?
Read the resolution first
“You need to waste your time reading the useless paperwork of your system in detail in order to bring down the useless paperwork of your system” isn’t a great take.
Oh pardon me. By all means rage on about what you don’t understand. Maybe you’ll sleep well afterwards.
I rage on about what I do understand, the system as a whole. You only need to look at Trump skipping all supposed checks and balances and separation of powers to understand that all the paperwork was always a facade of etiquette and not anything actually relevant to political power. Fascist police roams the streets and terrorizes minorities with total impunity, where is your lawful paperwork to defend them?
Ready and waiting to be utilized as intended.
And in the interim, informing people who care enough to read.
I wonder why it keeps waiting to be utilized instead of being utilized, huh
An excellent question and one with more than one simple answer.
But we’re not good at nuance around here, so everyone can feel free to assign it to their boogeyman of choice.
Thanks for the link! :-/

Stupid bit of text conflating concepts and creating it’s own definitions. Everyone should have abstained.
Sorry this was my fourth thread on it and i got tired of going back to find it. Thanks for posting it.
Using the lemmy search feature on yourself can reduce that effort.

I read it, it’s fucking garbage. Fuck everyone who voted for this propaganda.
It is garbage, and it’s all about using famous socialist governments that went to super shit. That’s why it’s a republiQan resolution. It’s inherently dishonest.
But hey, you wanna support Pol Pot and Stalin, then vote no.
Reading the resolution is irrelevant, people will read the headline and stop thinking. It reinforces decades of antisocialism/anticommunism
As does reading the resolution. It’s one page of cold war era anti-socialist propaganda dot points.
Surprise! Full text does that, too.
Nice timing’s!
Itfact reinforces decades of antisocialism/anticommunismFTFY
Cool for a supporter to think that.
You didn’t fix it tho FTFY means “fixed that for you” but you have only broken the statement semantically and have not brought in any new meaning which is the intended use of that. I am disappointed in you on your behalf, we’ll fix ya yet the progress is evident.
Nah, it fixed it, brah.
Whenever I talk about the headlines being the most important thing a bunch of Communications Studies dropouts tell me to read the whole thing.
It’s super annoying.
