I hate when they do that. But it is corporate telling them to change it. I say, we burn corporate down.

Have you ever said that you actually couldn’t find something? A fuse blows in their head and they don’t know what to do.

I’ve been like “no, you are out of my brand of peanut butter because it’s on sale and the shelf has been pillaged” and they said “oh…. sorry?”

NO YOU ARE NOT, YOU DONT CARE

I always just say, nope, and then we both stand there awkwardly as they finish checking me out.

I did once. They called someone over and took me to it. Which would have been great, but I’d already switched my meal plan and gotten a bunch of other stuff.

Annoying af: the discrepancy of interests between a consumer and the market (which uses tools as reorganising the products to increase sales by confusing the consumer, making them roam more products and as a side effect costing invaluable time and nerves, it’s systemic torture in a subtle way)

the employee app at my store is SO nice and easy to use, I am 100% convinced that they make the customer app worse on purpose

I had optimized my shopping run for max efficiency, dodging slow, aimlessly roaming other shoppers. Organized my shopping list in chronological order as the items appear along my route through the store…

And then those fuckers rearranged THE WHOLE FUCKING STORE.

      I hate grocery stores.

They only seem to ask at small places like TJa and they don’t seem to every change anything so I’ve never had to answer no.

But I do think I overheard someone say no and was actually told how a product wasn’t in stock currently and that they’ll get more on Wednesday (iirc?). It was weirdly helpful, which broke my cynical brain.

At first I thought this basket was a little absurd and thought it might be AI, then I realized this is TOO ABSURD to be AI and wouldn’t have proper training data to mimic.

Who tf gets a wooden basket full of produce at the supermarket? Mad respect for that person.
