I made the mistake of donating to a candidate once and I’ve gotten never ending spam texts from the Democrat machine ever since and from what I can tell they seem to get a lot more money during things like this where people are outraged at what Republicans are doing.

So it would seem to me that the financial wellbeing of that organization thrives under the current conditions. To actually fix anything is bad for their business.

It’s crazy how on-the-nose The Good Place was with the good guy committee. “It’s clear what we need to do: give up all our leverage, and give them whatever they want.”

I just finished rewatching that show the other day. I was surprised at how well it aged. The Elon Musk insults slapped and it made references to a Trump presidency.

The Good Place? Classic 80s sitcom The Good Place (TV Series 2016-2020) made references to the 45th President of the United States, Donald John Trump, January 20, 2017 – January 20, 2021? That’s remarkable foresight for a 40 year old tv series.

The democrats have been saying for over a decade now that the “fever will break”. As if suddenly all those voters will realize they’ve been screwed over by the republicans instead of just digging in harder. Schumer is just the latest schmuck to have the same views. I really hope he gets primaried.

If I were a betting man, it’s just Schumer buying time. He knows the party has been cast as paid opposition and just wants a couple more years of straight chilling before he has to run interference for the GOP again.

The voters have cut off the Democrat’s arms and now they’re wondering why they aren’t doing anything?

I’ve wondered why the progressives are removed when they haven’t done a single meaningful thing in a hundred years.

The Democrats cut off their own arms when they rigged their own primary 3 elections in a row. They cut off their own arms when Chuck Schumer gave into everything the Republicans wanted without even negotiating. They cut off their own arm when they refused to do anything the progressives wanted.

They are owned by billionaires and the billionaires have decided they will keep the Democrats around so the voters see the imaginary choice.

2016 was an opportunity to change the direction of the country and they decided that business as usual was good enough and the electorate has been paying for it ever since.

What exactly did he do? Did he not fund a genocide? Did he not force rail workers to not strike? Did he not keep saying the economy is good while homelessness and medical debt continued to get out of control?

Edit: all your down votes demonstrate why the Democrats lost the election. You can’t just ignore the voters and expect them to still vote for you.

The progressive did everything good the democrats did not. Idk even know your definition of “progressives” but the suffraggettes were progressive, the civil rights movement was progressive, black lives matter was progressive. All the democrats did was coopt every single one of those movements and wash them down, and roll the red carpet for fascists like trump. Moderatism is what opens the road to fascism. Quit licking the boot of the milquetoast idiots who should have protected democracy

First of all, I am not “the progressives”, I am not taking credit for anything, quit thinking like “us vs them”. Second of all, what you described is what dems are doing right now, saying that anybody who criticized their inaction is the cause for their inaction. I am merely stating that those who changed the world are those that acted radically, not moderately.

This simple fact, it seems, makes your butt burn
