    If you really want a Star Trek Future

    Just gotta ride through WWIII and the Post-Atomic Horror first.

    Rodenbury did not have a lot of hope for his peer generation when he was originally writing his shows. The implication of a number of episodes was that humanity had a number of huge fumbles to make before they could finally reach for the stars.

    That said, we’re hitting The Bell Riots right on schedule…

      Kind of except there wasn’t much rioting and the government just gave ICE carte blanche to build more “sanctuary districts.”

      As much as I love Trek I think Einstein was more correct about WW4 being fought with sticks and stones.

        That Einstein quote is actually “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” It’s a pretty chilling thought, and probly more accurate than Trek’s more optimistic post-atomic timeline where we somehow recover and build warp drives.
