Banality == Idiocy; Evil might not exist, yet mere stupidity and concessions to fear are found in every place where we determine that evil must surely have been. One could try limiting their search to persons exhibiting some semblance of wisdom or courage which they can use to aid their understanding/confrontation of their personal adversities and the environments of their past/upbringing.
