The TLDW is that the US government is sending non-criminals seeking asylum to be tortured in El Salvador. 97% of people sent there have no criminal record. The people there were beaten, sexually assaulted, starved, denied access to medical care and clean water, forced to remain in stress positions, subject to bright light 24 hours a day, and/or thrown in pitch black isolation cells with no light.
