His hate boner for Breaker Bad was too strong, there is no way he could resist the urge to shit on Gilligan’s latest creation. The guy’s entire lodestar was that overproduced cynical TV was the nexus of all modern society’s woes.

Maybe, also think Gilligan just had an idea and is using it as a structure to build character drama around.

If the show wanted to actually present a philosophy to it’s SciFi world building it’d probably benefit from a scene like this from Pantheon (mind you these are the villains of the first season of the show). But that’s too much to ask from most western media.

This would be a cool SciFi concept but I don’t think Vince Gilligan is smart enough for this.

I’ve been absolutely loving how polarizing this show is.

Honestly I think it’s going to reignite the prestige TV struggle sessions. UlyssesT may make a comeback to make a bunch of condescending posts with way too many emojis.

Jerk aside, I do find the discussion of the show more interesting than the show itself. I think the show itself is kind of mid but it sparks some interesting discussion if nothing else.

A two vessel brewhouse is a big ass piece of equipment, it’d be hard to move into a building not purpose built for it. Plus they’re keeping their ingredients offsite when most breweries have large refrigerators onsite.

It’d actually make MORE sense for the hive mind to take over a large brewery and make their nutrient goo there. They could store the materials in the hop cooler and then boil it in the kettle and store it in the fermenters, the package it into aluminum cans which would be easier to ship long distances.

Hypothetically yeah, the kettle gets hot enough you could boil bones to make a sort of broth.

But a dairy wouldn’t have a brew kettle in it.

I recall that but that could have been any beverage processing plant. They all use similar looking tanks.

I’ve been in a dairy plant before and they had the same tanks but not a brewhouse. A brewhouse is specifically for extracting the wort from the barley for fermentation so it’d make no sense for a dairy plant to have one.

I didn’t see any steam lines, they may have had a direct fire kettle.

But there was def a motor on top of the mash mixer to turn the agitators. Seriously she walked right fucking past it.
