Russia and China, on the other hand? Entirely straightforward and transparent in their reporting. No disinformation campaigns there, no sir.

i think russia takes the #1 in the aggressive propaganda platforms out there, they devote significant resources to do it too. hence why you see the sudden rise of right wing governments all over the world, the porn bans, age verfication.

One of the lines I see repeated with every business cycle is “China is lying about their economic data”. Like, quarter after quarter, year after year, decade after decade.

At some point, you have to engage in a bit of meta-criticism. Why do you believe an enemy nation-state is secretly failing when only the lay residents of the rival power seem to be aware of it? What is your crystal ball and how is it showing information that’s more reliable than the Goldman Sachs trading desk or the IMF analytics department?

So much of the time it seems like Yeomni Park is the source for every American’s understanding of the outside world. And anyone who asserts a contrary view must be a shill, a bot, or a political extremist.

Contrary view isn’t purely praise and refused to accept the weakness of the country, which is the perspective you and the tankie definitely possessed. We’re just stating the obvious and calling a shill shill.

I occasionally shit on china while also praise some of their aspect, i do it the same way for all the country.

I don’t think clickbait youtube videos are a fair measure of American media reporting on China. Youtube is largely random users shouting into the void. They’re going to frequently exaggerate or otherwise spread misinformation on any subject for attention or even simple ignorance. There’s little to suggest it’s controlled propaganda considering you’ll likely find much more conspiracy critical of the American government than China’s.

Since you seem to have a view different than most people here, do you trust China’s reporting on itself more than that of reputable western media? If so, why?

I trust their reporting when it aligns with regional business news coverage and correlating economic data.

I don’t casually dismiss it as propaganda any more than I would dismiss the BLS senior leadership in the states.

There’s little to suggest it’s controlled propaganda considering you’ll likely find much more conspiracy critical of the American government than China’s.

YouTube has a pattern of recommending right-leaning and Christian videos, even to users who haven’t previously interacted with that kind of content, according to a recent study of the platform’s suggestions to users.

China’s working towards something nice while the EU and the US scream towards fascism. It’s the next stage of liberalism. It’s time to celebrate , you’ve made it to the end goal, again.

That is what they’ve achieved, not what they’re working towards. You’re doing a little cherry picking. It’s disingenuous.

Hmm, in what way its socialism when they claim the whole of South China Sea, have border dispute left and right, and aggressively expand their market in an anti-competitive way? Call me sheltered libs or libtard or whatever, I certainly cannot see it.

Something nice? Does Taiwan and Hong Kong feel that way? The Uyghers? How about the nations who rely on the South China Sea?

How about we the people of the world say no to slavery, no to genocide, and no to war, no matter what country tries to justify and use it? Stop being tricked into harming yourself

                    1. Strawman and 2) do you not understand that media is made of individual reporters and workers?
